ECKART Effect Pigments

From visual impact to functionality

In textile coatings, ECKART effect pigments are used not only to enhance appearance but increasingly to achieve a variety of functional properties.
The following functionalities are currently available:

  • Conductivity
  • Heating elements 
  • EMI shielding
  • Heat reflection and protection against UV radiation
  • Abrasion resistance
  • Barrier protection

Similar to the thermos flask principle, metal effect pigments help to keep the warmth inside.

Seat heatings or garments with heating devices are a popular application example for ECKART’s conductive pigments as special conductivity characteristics are required.

Textiles for specific purposes, e. g. sportswear, work clothes and gloves or seat covers, require high abrasion resistance. 

Special, after-treated pigments are weather and chemically resistant.
