Effect pigments for bright cosmetic formulations

The SYNCRYSTAL product line based on achromatic titanium dioxide coated synthetic fluorphlogopite powder (artificial mica) offers new ways to achieve very bright formulations. 
Due to the synthetic origin of the substrate, the level of impurities is significantly lower compared to that of natural mica.

The smooth coating of titanium dioxide on synthetic fluorphlogopite leads to remarkable silvery pearlescence as well as outstanding rainbow-like colors derived from interference effects.

SYNCRYSTAL is offered in three particle sizes: 
The fine fraction of 5 - 25 µm possesses a very pleasant skin feel and is optimized for smooth, silky and satiny effects. 
The "standard" fraction of 10 - 50 µm with an average particle size of 20 µm is a perfect fit to create both, a clean and expressive silver effect as well as color-intense shades of gold, red and blue.  
The coarse fraction of 20 - 150 µm is ideally suited for shimmering highlights in the eye, lip and nail area. Due to the carefully controlled upper limit of the particle size, a pleasant skin feel is still achieved. 
SYNCRYSTAL Sapphire fascinates by its bold jewel-like blue shade, whereas SYNCRYSTAL Ivory gives the skin a refreshed shine and tan, due to the brownish pale color with silvery effect.
SYNCRYSTAL effect pigments are suitable for color cosmetic applications like powders, lipsticks, glosses and nail polishes, but also can be beneficial in opaque systems like creams, lotions and gels.
