Pearlescent pigments SYNCRYSTAL
New effect pigments for bright white cosmetic formulations
The new SYNCRYSTAL effect pigment product line based on synthetic fluorphlogopite (artificial mica) offers the formulator new ways to achieve very white and bright formulations.
Due to the artificial nature of the substrate the level of impurities is very much decreased compared to natural mica. The smooth coating of titanium dioxide on the synthetic fluorphlogopite leads to extraordinary white pearl effects and high transparency. These clean white effects are especially visible in transparent products like lip glosses and nail polishes as well as in opaque systems like lotions.
SYNCRYSTAL will be initially offered in two particle sizes. With a particle size of 10 – 50 μm SYNCRYSTAL Silver exhibits a very classic white pearl effect whereas SYNCRYSTAL Sparkling Silver with a particle size of 20-150 μm is ideally designed to create sparkle highlights in the eye, lip and nail area. Due to the carefully controlled upper limit of the particle size this pigment has a remarkable pleasant skin feel.
The SYNCRYSTAL product line will be extended with additional color shades in the near future.
SYNCRYSTAL effect pigments are suitable for all kinds of color cosmetic and personal care applications like nail polishes, powders, wax-based systems, emulsions and gels.
