Innovations for Solvent-Based Systems in Close Cooperation with the Customer

Solvent-based printing inks are still most widely used for gravure and flexo printing. They are applied in a wide range of applications within the label and packaging market.

Therefore ECKART delivers customised solutions for conventional gold bronze and silver inks to accommodate to the different possible applications. These inks are brand named ROTOSTAR and are specially produced and individually developed to meet customer specifications.

In the field of ever brighter high-performance inks with maximum brilliance ECKART offers the new solvent-based ULTRASTAR ink program. These single component inks are based on the well-known METALURE® aluminium dispersion and create shining and mirror-like effects that can hardly be distinguished from metallised substrates and foil stamping.

Next to finished inks ECKART offers a variety of metal pigment products for use in solvent-based systems. The product range includes metallic dispersions (ROTOVARIO, METALURE®) and dust-free metallic pellets (ROTOSAFE) as well as different metal pigments in the form of powder and paste ROTOFLEX, STANDART® & STAPA).

The introduction of ECKART’s new PHOENIX Pearlescent Pigments at drupa 2000 was very successful. This new pigment generation for pearl effects creates a lasting impression when used in solvent-based flexo and gravure systems.
