Metallic & pearlescent pigments for plastics Effect pigment powders & pastes
The leaf-shaped aluminium pigments reflect the light that falls onto their surfaces, regardless of whether they come in powder or paste form. This directed reflection creates a brilliant metallic effect.
Compared to pigment powder, aluminium pigment pastes have the advantages of dust-free processing and better dispersibility. The choice of solvent depends on the plastic to be processed.
Brilliant effects can also be achieved with gold-bronze pigment pastes and powder. Gold-bronze pigments are available in the following colour tones: copper, pale gold, rich pale gold, rich gold, English green and lemon gold.
The optical effect created by Phoenix® is the result of light being reflected by leaf-shaped effect pigments. This is accompanied by the additional phenomenon of optical refraction. The continuous interplay of reflection and refraction is what gives the pearlescent pigments their unmistakable, unique look.
