ECKART at techtextil 2015 in Frankfurt
Hartenstein, 04/17/2015 - At the techtextil 2015 trade fair in Frankfurt, ECKART presents its optical and functional effect pigment portfolio in Hall 3, booth 06. Highlights are: TEXMET 5040 is multi-functional effect pigment, designed to reflect heat and furthermore to be used for laser marking. TEXMET 5000, TEXMET 3500, and TEXMET 2000 are a group of silver effect pigments, carrying the ECO-PASSPORT label for OEKOTEX® fabrics. ECONDUCT 421000 and ECONDUCT 122000 are two conductive pigments to be used in Smart Textiles.
TEXMET 5040 is an innovative effect pigment, designed to reflect heat in Technical Textiles. In architectural applications, e.g. building foils, window blinds, textile wall coverings, or awnings, it helps to cool interiors, ultimately reducing energy consumption. As the pigment is compatible with organic color pigments, attractive designs can be applied onto the fabric, while keeping reflectivity levels high. In this respect, the product surpasses other technologies available to the textile market.
When treated with a low-energy laser, TEXMET 5040 makes application of brand names or logos onto fabrics possible, allowing a high degree of individualization or branding, e.g. for fashion, sports, or outdoor clothing.
TEXMET 5040 is a 100% product, suitable for most solvent- and water-bornebinders. It can be applied by screen printing, Foulard or roller application.
TEXMET 5000, TEXMET 3500, TEXMET 2000
The OEKOTEX® label is very important in textile markets. Raw materials used in the production of these ecologically certified fabrics need to carry the so-called ECO-PASSPORT. ECKART offers three different types of metallic pigments, all them tagged accordingly. They are part of the TEXMET brandfamily.
Depending on the requirements, the pigments create different effects. The coarse TEXMET 5000 is used to provide sparkle, while TEXMET 3500 generates brilliant effects. The fine TEXMET 2000, on the other hand, makes excellent opacity possible.
ECONDUCT 421000 and ECONDUCT 122000
Smart Textiles are a fast growing segment in the textile market. ECKART's two conductive pigments - ECONDUCT 421000 and ECONDUCT 122000 - help to establish conductive pathways or contact points which connect conductive areas or heating devices in Smart Textiles. The pigments are suitable for many binder systems used for screen printing on fabrics.
