Powder
Aluminium powders can be produced either directly in a dry milling process, or indirectly by drying aluminium pastes. The powders are customised for the widest range of applications by means of special coating methods or after-treatment.
Notes on processing
Notes on processing Like all materials in powder form, aluminium powders can form explosive dust/air mixtures when they come into contact with air. Thus, it is essential that the following points be observed when working with aluminium powders:
- Avoid raising dust
- Keep powder well away from ignition sources
- Take measures to prevent electrostatic charging
- Do not use vacuum cleaners to remove residue
- Avoid any contact with moisture
