Update ECKART Surcharges for Q2/2022

Dear valued customer,

In November 2021 we already informed you about the turbulent times in our markets with respect to multiple price increases and shortages for raw materials, packaging and logistics. The Russia Ukraine conflict has further escalated this situation. As a result, prices for electricity, gas, oil and metals, especially aluminum, are at an all-time high.

Our temporary procurement surcharge and our metal surcharges will be adapted for Q2/2022 as followed.

Due to the highly fluctuating daily aluminum LME pricing, we are forced to adapt the aluminum surcharge for our base products (STAPA 2 - STAPA 6) on a monthly basis starting with goods issued in April 2022.

This "real-time surcharge" is the only fair and feasible approach for both sides in such an unpredictable environment for products with extremely high material cost ratio.

Due to the unpredictable dynamics in the current environment, we are not in the position to guarantee any pricing stability. Further adjustments outside of the above scheme might become necessary.
