With VERSALAN, ECKART introduces a next-generation aluminum pigment preparation that helps achieve exactly that. Based on high-purity, flake-shaped aluminum pigments with an inorganic SiO₂ coating and building on proven HYDROLAN® technology, VERSALAN combines easy handling with reliable performance.
One of its key advantages is direct dispersibility. VERSALAN can be added directly to water without pre-wetting or solvent pre-mixing and used at any stage of production. This reduces process steps, shortens production times, and allows precise adjustment of color and metallic effects while lowering solvent use.
Delivered as a free-flowing, dust-free powder, VERSALAN supports clean handling, precise dosing, and reliable processing.
Optimized flow properties and a tailored additive package ensure excellent wetting and improved flowability compared to conventional aluminum pastes, helping maintain consistent product quality.
With a VOC content below 5%, low flammability, and no classification as dangerous goods, it also supports safer handling and simplified transport.
Available in multiple particle sizes, VERSALAN enables metallic effects ranging from intense sparkle to structureless appearances.
Suitable for automotive OEM and refinish coatings, industrial coatings, plastics, UV-curable systems, and processes such as RIM, FIM, and wrapping, it is positioned as the successor to HYDROLAN® BG and PG grades.
Designed for waterborne, solventborne, UV-curable, and 100% systems, VERSALAN combines performance, safety, and sustainability in a future-ready aluminum pigment technology.
