Economic Advantages of Metallic Ink

Applied only to areas where the metallic effect is desired:

Save unnecessary opaque white by using metallic ink instead of metallized substrate.

Print the ink on the spot and reduce the consumption to the absolute minimum.

By using metallized substrate: The areas which should not look metallic usually have to be covered by using an opaque white.

Often the white is still slightly translucent which leads to a greyish or dirty looking white – or other colors being used.

In-line production:

Use ECKART metallic inks within standard ink units.

Producing in-line will totally speed up your production process.

By using any kind of extra metallization units or off-line alternatives, it usually slows down the production time a lot.

Less substrate stock and handling. Using metallic ink simplifies your substrate stock.

The metallic ink can be applied flexible on almost any kind of substrate.

Cost control. Use metallic inks only on the spot and save cost. Select the printing area with metallic inks. The less area printed, the lower the resulting costs.

The ink costs can be varied from standard (€) to high end (€€€) – pick your combination of effect and manage cost.

Avoid European Plastic Tax. Use metallic inks and get around European Plastic Tax. Since 2021 the tax is in place and raised for laminates (plastic to substrates ).
