Additive Manufacturing

A20X™ powder was developed specifically for additive manufacturing methods. The advantages at a glance:

  • ultimate tensile strength up to 511 MPa, yield strength up to 440 MPa, elongation at fracture up to 13%
  • aerospace-approved
  • excellent high-temperature strength
  • fatigue properties comparable to 7xxx alloys
  • processability comparable to AlSi10Mg
  • fully equiaxed microstructure
  • compatible with all laser powder bed machines
  • no special process measures required

Casting production

A205 aluminum castings are ideal for aerospace applications

  • the strongest aluminium cast alloy in the world
  • ultimate tensile strength up to 475 MPa, yield strength up to 420 MPa, elongation at fracture up to 3%
