Active Corrosion Protection

Corrosion protection - for long-life products

Specially developed platelet-shaped metal pigments protect metallic components from corrosion during their service life. Zinc flake-containing coating materials as well as flakes based on special zinc alloys provide active, galvanic corrosion protection.

In addition, the laminar structure of these pigments provides barrier protection (passive corrosion protection). This means that two mechanisms of action, namely an active galvanic effect and a passive barrier effect, are combined in one pigment. This synergy is also often referred to as the "two in one concept".
