Our R&D team has been working hard over the past few months to develop brand-new mineral oil-free metallic ink series – with complete success!
These new gold and silver inks offer the same high standards of quality, brilliance and performance that our customers have come to appreciate in conventional mineral oil-based printing inks.
Our latest mineral oil-free metallic inks – 100 % plant-based on oils and fatty acid esters - are now available – and come perfectly in time with the new French regulation!

Mineral oil-free and highly brilliant - for offset printing
The printing inks in our TOPSTAR family are based on ultra-thin VMP pigments and offer the highest brilliance in the entire range of conventional offset printing inks. They closely resemble foil stamping.
The appearance and technical performance of the new mineral oil-free TOPSTAR SuperEco 16 series match those of mineral oil-based products. External print tests confirm that this new series is an excellent mineral oil-free alternative in terms of printability, ink-water-balance and, of course, brilliance.
The leafing TOPSTAR SuperEco 16 3000 Silver printing ink is characterised by its extraordinary metallic gloss. Like all metallic printing inks, it is an environmentally friendly and easily recyclable alternative to cold and hot foil stamping.
By colouring and overprinting, especially with the new TOPSTAR SuperEco 16 2007 Silver, a wide range of metallic colour effects can be achieved. TOPSTAR SuperEco 16 2001 and 2006 create an impressive imitation gold look – ready to use and without any additional effort.

Mineral oil-free and versatile offset printing inks
The right metallic ink for every printing project!
Our extensive METALSTAR® ink portfolio meets every technical and visual requirement. At the same time, the three new mineral oil-free series ensure regulatory compliance.
Every printing ink in these three new METALSTAR® series fulfils the new regulations, is visually and technically absolutely equivalent to printing inks based on mineral oil and scores highly in terms of storage life. Various equivalent printing ink series based on different raw material systems ensure security of supply.
We have had the excellent printability, ink-water balance and brilliance of the three mineral oil-free printing ink series confirmed by external print tests.

METALSTAR® SuperEco 14
METALSTAR® SuperEco 14 offers high opacity and brilliance as well as a very stable printing result. Ideal for high printing speeds.
METALSTAR® Eco NL 14
These printing inks are based on non-leafing aluminium pigments and are ideal for tinting and overprinting to achieve polychrome effects.
