PVC plastisol

PVC plastisol
Â
A plastisol is a dispersion of a thermoplastic resin (in powder form) in a liquid plasticizer, often combined with pigments, additives and fillers.
Of particular interest are PVC-based plastisols, so-called soft PVC. PVC plastisol contains more plasticizers than rigid PVC, it is soft and flexible.
Pigment preparations for soft PVC must be compatible with plastisol. Epoxidized soybean oil is therefore used as a carrier for such applications.
